Running (not sprinting) is a fat-burning cardio exercise, and I agree, it's easy (if you are motivated, of course).
The problem with cardio is: you'll not only lose fat, but also muscle tissue.
If you want to keep (or gain) muscle tissue, you must consume more calories than you burn
and you must workout hard, very hard (heavy weight training, no sissy weights!), hence the credo of each (natural) bodybuilder: "no pain, no gain".
The more muscle tissue you have, the more fat you'll burn throughout the day (even without running or other forms of cardio).
