Secretaries exist because managers don't have the time to deal with everybody who called.

I don't have moral problems with lying in some cases. When it comes to moral questions and I want to make decisions according to priciples I use Robert Pirsigs Metaphsics of Quality or Utiliarism.

That question assumes that it's an effective idea to torture a terroist in such a sitution.

Talking about this in terms of “bad news” or “bad judgment by business leaders” seems archaic. It’s like describing World War One as “a serious diplomatic concern.”
