There's all kinds of Christians, Megan. Sounds like you're one of the rare kind that is able to filter out scripture from the Bible that conflicts with the true message of Jesus.
The real problem with religions, (especially the two "superpowers" of Islam and Christianity), is the inability of the fundamentalist factions within each to consider the possibility that their "holy" books may just be fallible after all.
