I only read the first post and skimmed the comments, so what I say probably was said already... but I want to drop a couple things.

One: Your con list is way bigger than your pro list. That should say something already.

Two: Your con list specifically addresses the items in the pro list. This means that your pro list is actually empty.

Three: If you know what you want to do, why aren't you doing it? If there's a stepping stone you have to take, have you taken it yet? Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.

Four: Experience counts just as much, if not more, than a degree. A resume with a strong list of work experience will win out over a resume with a degree. I mean, if you're desperate.

College has its place, but it's most effective in giving people a stomping ground with which they can experiment with possible futures. Don't get into the sandbox to make sandcastles when you know what the mansion already looks like.
