In what way would the idea of karma and the LoA refute each other?
In my mind, they're pointing to two similar ideas.
Recognizing that time is an illusion, karma is not really results of stuff you did in the past. Not really. "The past" is when you created those energies, but because you continue to embrace those energies within your presence NOW, you experience the karmic effects of that energy NOW.
So karma is saying, "That which is contained within your energetic presence now is what you will experience."
The LoA is saying that the energy within your presence in the form of thoughts and emotions determines what manifestations will arise within your consciousness.
Pretty much the same idea, no?
