Default The Gabriel Method

To those who are curious about the Gabriel Method, you need to just buy or borrow the book and try it out for yourself. You won’t know until you give it a shot. Many of the post that I’ve read that think it’s a scam or will never work are from people that have not even taken the time and/or effort to try it…and you know what…if that’s what you think and believe, than of course it will never work for you, because that’s what you believe.

I’ve actually bought the book on May 5, 2009 and have been trying to follow his methodology for a little over a month now and just by simple trying to follow what he suggests in his book, has made a big difference in my eating habits and sweet/junk food cravings. I have a sweet tooth and my biggest downfall is chocolate. I use to think to myself and on occasion would actually tell people that if I could live off of chocolate alone, I would…of course we all know that I can’t….but anyway, that’s how much I love chocolate. In his book he talks about why our body craves certain foods and why our body holds on to fat. After reading his book I went out and bought the suggested supplements he suggest to take to provide my body with the essential nutrients it needs and also try to follow his visualization techniques and whatever he suggest and since then, my cravings for sweets has diminished so much so that the other day I was in line buying more supplements and looking at all the chocolate candy bars telling myself I should get one because I hadn’t had a chocolate bar since my birthday, which was on May 21 (A co-worker gave me some chocolate for my birthday and it was one of those king size Dove Bars which I ate it all in one sitting). And as I was contemplating which candy bar to get I realized I wasn’t craving for any chocolate and that I was actually getting sick to my stomach thinking of eating chocolate and that’s when it hit me that my body wasn’t craving for chocolate anymore and that I was subconsciously just telling myself I should get a candy bar because that’s what I’m use to and because I love chocolate. I’m also a big carb person, and usually at night I always crave for more carbs, especially the sweet bad ones…so of course I always keep cereal around and that’s what I would have as a snack at night is chocolate/sugar coated cereal. Those nightly cravings has also diminished.

In his book, he suggest not dieting at all and to eat when you’re hungry, even if you’re still craving the same foods you normally crave for but to also incorporate as much organic natural foods in your diet, and take the extra supplements your body needs and eventually your body will not crave for the foods that make you fat. He even says it may take your body 6 months to adjust and lose weight because it’s so use to eating all the foods that are not good for you. I’ve always been one to try to watch what I eat, and incorporate foods that are good for me so that I don’t feel bad about eating all the junk food that I shouldn’t be eating but after reading the book, and trying to follow the eating method suggested, I have noticed a big difference in the way I think and look at foods now.

It’s only been a little over a month for me and I’m still amazed at what a big difference just the little changes that I’ve made has done to the way I think, the way my body feels and the biggest thing for me is the fact that I no longer have those constant sweet cravings. I didn’t go out and completely change my eating habit, or completely stop eating what I love, but I have notice that I no longer crave for all the junk food that I was always eating. Oh, and so far I’ve lost 4 pounds…it’s not a whole lot, but I’m just happy that I no longer have the sweet cravings.
