they are simply too far away to have me at their beck and call, where I would get drained weekly by stepping and fetching to please them
Wow. Good for you. I wish that worked for me, but 3 hours away isn't far enough. I've also got a second ex husband who wants to get back together and four hours away isn't enough. So maybe a 24 hour driving distance will help me.
