It sounds like you're doing what you want to be doing, right? Why are your colleagues criticising you? Shouldn't your post be "are my colleagues normal?"

Although maybe you might consider the alternative, going out and partying, and it may be that this is worth trying, and you might try it once and say "why did I bother?" Or you might go out to the party and find that it's the best thing you could have done, and wish you would go out partying more often.

As well, there may be other things you could do with your life, other than partying, which might be really cool.. it's up to you, what you want to do.. Not up to your colleagues whats best for you, and you might find your education gives you a much better future than your colleagues will have. But, I'd also suggest you keep an open mind to life's possibilities.
