Okay, I think I'm getting pretty solid signals from "beyond" that I need to go and get a flu shot very soon.
I had thought it too late in the season for it to be of much use, but a couple of weeks ago, I walked into my clinic for a scheduled doctor appointment. The nurse who took my vitals asked if I'd had a flu shot yet. I said that I hadn't, and would be fine with it if they wanted to give me one. But after my appointment, I forgot about it, and so, it seemed, did they.
Then just a few days ago, I found a prerecorded message on my answering machine from the clinic, reminding me to consider a flu shot if I'd not yet had one.
This caused me to consider the possibility that it MIGHT be more that mere coincidence. So I asked the Universe to send me one more reminder if this was indeed an urgent message that I should act upon.
Today, I stopped to fill the gas tank in my vehicle. After I had swiped my debit card in the pump, a video screen on top of the pump lit up and played a PSA. (This screen was a new feature at this station.) The first message the PSA had for me was -- you guessed it -- "Have you received your flu shot yet?"
Okay, don't think I'm a complete idiot. I'm pretty certain now that I need to get one, and plan on doing so tomorrow since I'm off work anyway. But what do you think? Does this sound freaky to you, too?
Or is it just a rare coincidence?
