First of all, it's winter in the Northern Hemisphere. There won't be too many people doing landscaping this time of year in the US, except in the deep south. I'm in VA, and the ground is quite frozen now. Things should pick up in the spring. You might want to start hanging around forums that specialize in
DIY and
gardening/landscaping (two that I visit from time to time). If you have the time, volunteer to become a moderator. If you have a specialty such as organic/biodynamic/edible landscaping, visit the appropriate web forums and network there as well. If that is your type of thing, submit an article to
path to freedom.
One thing that I noticed is that many of your articles are way too short. It is one thing to make people aware of the concept of companion planting, for example. Your post did do that, but you could have done much more. You didn't include any links to more information, provide charts on what plants do/don't work well together or explain in more detail why companion planting works. Research the science behind it, boil it down into information the average knucklehead can use, and write about it. Right now, a thirty year old issue of Mother Earth News found at a rumage sale for twenty five cents has more information on companion planting than your blog does. If you have a digital camera, include your own photographs, rather than relying on a stock photo library. Write on seasonal topics. Since it's winter, write on protecting landscaping from frost damage (for example). In other words, give people a reason to visit your blog. You are off to a decent start with a well-designed site and a good domain name. Now, you need some more content.
If you become well known as a reliable source for landscaping information, you will have all kinds of traffic to your site.
