Each day for the next thirty days I will think about what a random virtue means to me. One of the Steve Pavlina templates that come with The Journal picks a random virtue and asks you to think about it.

Accuracy
The quote below was from the entry in my journal.

What does Accuracy mean to me?
Accuracy is about hitting a target as close as possible. Personally, it means being close to the truth; knowing the facts. Accuracy in knowledge can be gained in various ways:
Scientifically - We can understand things using facts that are definite, we can observe how things work by looking at physical laws and testing and looking at results.
Perspective - By viewing a scenario from various viewpoints, we can get a clearer image and therefore a more accurate model of the scenario. Also, what might be an accurate model of the world for me might mean nothing for someone else.
Intimate/distanced - By honing in on the little details we can build a complex idea of how something works, then by stepping back and looking at the thing as a whole we can judge how everything relates.
Spiritually - By looking inwards we can better identify with ourselves. This will make it easier for others to sum us up more accurately. Also, we can get a more accurate view of our purpose, our hopes, habits and desires.

I invite you to discuss this virtue with me and I recommend this excercise to anyone. You can spend as little or as much time as you like working on the answer, but the question will stick around throughout the day and hopefully make a small positive impact.
