Personally, I think synchronicity is a gift that your unconscious mind presents to you when you practice getting consciously in rapport with it.

It's like when you dream. When you deliberately and consciously ask your dreams for something: information, insight, entertainment, whatever -- your unconscious mind says to itself, GREAT! Let's go ahead and create a connection that is really easy to spot, like a dream pun, an "aha" or lucid moment, a signpost to something that you had in unconscious storage, like where you put the remote, that gets pointed to in your dream.

In the same way, in waking life, when you start to practice getting your conscious and unconscious in rapport (and funnily enough, you might not yet be aware consciously that you are doing it! ), synchronicities show up to let you know you're aligning yourself as a whole in a purposeful direction. Symbolic puns, "aha" or waking lucid moments (suddenly your vision clears or you see beauty in something you had previously thought mundane), or a sudden and surprising signpost that shows up pointing you in the right direction or making a previously unconsidered resource appear exactly when most beneficial.

In other words, you can do it on purpose!
