He is definitely too dependant on his parents. Just try to think what it would be to live with him for a year, if he runs to his parents as soon as they need him. Do you really want to always stay in connection with them?
Also it is not fair that you should move to states and he does not even consider moving to your country. It was fair for you to suggest moving to a totally different country, that would be very equal. However he turned that down so that shows that he thinks that his opinion is more important.
Really consider if you want to be in such relationship, because if you get stuck with him in the states and realise that it is not what you want, it would be a hassle to move out.
