Hi Wolfgang,
Thanks for your reply, we have spoken quite a few times now and I enjoy our chats, you make a reference to the effectiveness of lists. All I will say is that they work for some people, my wife included and not for others.
Going back to the original theme of the post I think it's vital we try and enjoy ourselves as much as possible, there is a lot of unhappiness in this world and that is quite understandable but that makes it all the more important that we should cherish and crave the good times, the more we do this the more they will come to us.
Eric,
What you suggest is right we are programmed from a very early age to accept the negative. A U.S. study recently concluded that children under the age of seven were subjected to negative as opposed to positive statements from their parents on a ratio of 8 : 1
That is obscene but true we kill our kids with kindness and warnings but that is not wrong it is love, but to make them whole we must trust them a little more and give them praise and self-belief.
Halfull,
I like this post it is short and understated but oh so true, we are all different, and have different talents but Your statement about how a person should find out what resonates with them shows insight, nice one.
Regards,Andy.
