One key distinction to keep in mind that will facilitate psychic development is to know that it's not something you are learning to do. Being psychic involves remembering your innate abilities and becoming aware of what you are already doing that would be considered psychic - as in making your conscious mind more aware of this. Because you are a spiritual being, communication between your physical mind and your spirit/ your expanded superconscious mind as well as communication with the spirits of other people, things, places, etc. are inherent and natural to you.

As others have suggested meditation is very helpful in becoming more aware of yourself and your inherent abilities. But don't rely on only a formal practice of meditation because you want to develop heightened self-awareness in your daily life and activities not just while you are meditating. A good way to do this is to carry a notebook around with you and write down anything and everything you might deem "psychic" - a coincidence/ synchronicity, a feeling you have about something, an idea that pops into your head that seems out of the ordinary, your first impression when meeting a person or going to a new place, whatever.

But the number one, most important thing you can do is to believe in your ability to be psychic that you already are psychic. Affirm this to yourself and it will be true. "Pretend" that you are psychic for a few hours, or an entire day, per week and let yourself follow the psychic impulses you get and see what happens. You'll be surprised how accurate you can be and if you have a miss just brush it off and say "oh, well." Treat it like play because it is playful and does not have to be difficult or strenuous. Good luck
