If your site's going to be about something, make it one thing. Focus on that one thing and do that one thing better than everyone else.
You're not going to make anymoney offering advice or what not unless you have something to offer that nobody else does, whatever that may be. Everyone and their mother's have their own website nowadays, you need to stand out or you're only going to get medicore, if any results.
