If this is what you are asking, then I think that it changes the response a tad....if you require the use of an "outside" perspective to define what you are feeling internally, then I see no real problem with that. The only caution here, is, not to put him up on a pedastal. He is human, he makes mistakes, and all of his advice will not work all of the time with every person.
