The section on how other people can rub off on you is so true for me. My Mom, brother, and sister, are very lazy. They don't usually wake up until about 3pm. This is true for me too however.
The thing is, since I can't change them or get rid of them, could the people on this forum act as my motivation? Could they counter balance my family? |
In the end you have to light your own fire and power your own engines.
This forum can help a bit. Finding highly motivated people in your real life to hang around will give you a good boost.
Lastly, it is a myth that you need to feel motivated to do something, to actually get started on doing it and enjoy it. Think of all of the things you do in a day where you don't even stop to notice if you are motivated or not. Think of all of the things you put off doing and once you did you saw it wasn't so bad or even felt exhilarated doing it.
Once you start something motivation will follow. Don't wait for motivation. Doing makes motivation.......not the other way around.
You aren't a sail boat waiting for a gust of wind. You are a generator where once you start moving you generate energy.
