Hi, Leah. I've found dream symbols to be so personal that dream dictionaries are a waste of time. I think a good way to study your dreams is to have a dream partner -- someone who's also excited about dreams and knows you and your history pretty well -- with whom you can recount your dreams out loud. Jot your dreams in a notebook as soon as you wake up, and have the notebook with you when you have your Dream Meetings.
Sometimes just hearing yourself speak a dream can spark a memory connection or make you aware of a dream pun. Your dream partner will be able to hear and see image connections in way you aren't able -- some stuff is much easier to see in someone else than it is in your own self.
another thing you can do, although it's tricky, is to ask yourself at the end of the dream while you're still dreaming what it means. |
