I believe we always get Alpha Reflections, no matter what. Let me explain.
Let's say I make an intention to attract more money into my life. And when I make this intention, I have about $500 in the bank and poor financial habits. I also have a low paying job washing dishes in a pub.
And two weeks later, nothing has happened. I've still got the same job and I'm still broke. Then one day when I'm in the book store, I see a book on personal finances and I buy it. And not only do I buy it, I follow it's advice. Four months later, I find a better job and I'm responsible with my money. I now have a surplus of funds, because I'm financially responsible. Surplus = more money
My alpha reflection = seeing the personal finance book in the store and
using it
Sometimes, Alpha Reflections will be small and sometimes they will be large. It really depends on how specific and patient you are with your intention. If you spend all your time trying to look for the Alpha Reflection, you will get one, but it will be the opposite of what you
think you have intended.
Here's an example of the opposite:
After making my intention, I begin to spend time figuring out how my Alpha Reflection will manifest. I think about how broke I am and how much I wish I had a higher paying job. I go and buy a lottery ticket and I lose. I mumble and complain. Then two weeks later, I get a large bill in the mail. Alpha Reflection = my
actions depict a poor attitude, decreasing funds and unexpected large bill
You always get what you want in life, rather what you want is positive or negative. Erin Pavlina made a great point in podcast #17. She said,
"We get what we want, not what we say we want." So therefore, if you say you want more of something, but your actions show you don't believe you can have it, you will never get it. It's like being a smoker and saying "I
want to be healthy" but always giving up when you try to quit. As a result, you will always be a smoker.
It makes no sense to wish for something, because wishing =
I really want this, but I know I will never have it.
And one more thing. You can look at you posting this thread and getting everyone's responses as an Alpha Reflection. Why? Because we are helping you understand IM and LoA better, so that you can create stronger intentions. Also know that, you must take action regardless if you recieve an immediate Alpha Reflection or not. Start acting like you want what you intended and things will start to happen out of the blue. If you do nothing and worry about never getting what you want, you will get the opposite of what you say you have intended.
