He's really into selling the place, as he wants the money. I speculate as well that he wants to break all ties to Greece as he doesn't like the place, doesn't talk to his sister anymore (who lives here), and maybe wants to sever the memories of all this financial drama he had with his parents.
Personally I find it all so unreasonable. Here we have a couple of offspring (my father and his sister), fighting over wealth they did not earn, and destroying their relationship because of it.
And I'm also still upset about how they handled my Grandmothers situation at the end. She had severe Osteoporosis, and was taking heavy duty pain-killers which I believe were destroying the centers in her brain that process pain signals. I think this was destroying her brain and causing 'Alzheimers'. This is just my theory. They kept taking her to doctors who kept on prescribing her more and more pain killers and even stronger drugs. Her condition spiraled downward in the end...she caught a flu and passed on within days.
I sometimes feel guilt. I should have thrown away that medication, I should have forced her to eat vegetables, I should have 'this' and I should have 'that'.
Anyhow, I do not believe that either of them deserve any of my Grandmothers estate...and I'm not saying I deserve it. I don't want the money or the jewelry or any of that. But I do want to keep the home I lived in, its of great sentimental value to me.
