Auras
Hi heidi, that's awesome you can see an aura now! I think part of your problem of not seeing them sooner was trying to see them with a bright background. Dim lighting and an off white background color works for me. How would you like to see your own aura? I learned how to from a book written by Bruce Goldberg...
1. Stand in front of a mirror at least eighteen inches away, a little further if possible.
2. Place yourself with a white or neutral color surface visible in the mirror behind you, again eighteen or more is ideal.
3. Relax, breathe deeply and sway gently from side to side. You don't need to get to crazy doing this, just back and forth nice and slow.
4. Focus on the texture of the wall behind you. Try not to focus on your head.
5. As you stare past the outline of your head and shoulders, you will see the envelope of light around your body move with you as you rock gently. Mine kind of flows back and forth with my head. Like it's just a little behind me when I move, trying to catch up...
6. Remember to breathe as you do this since you are now both the viewer and the subject.
7. Lighting should be subdued, neither too bright or too dark. Experiment a little, Auras cannot be seen in total darkness and bright light will wash out all but the most vibrant of auras.
8. Color of your clothing is important. You might find that your auric color, when you get accustomed to seeing it, will clash with certain items in your wardrobe, but you will see your true colors regardless what you wear.
This was from Bruce Goldbergs book Astral Voyages. Hope to hear from everyone. I found this exercise totally cool! My wife on the other hand, thinks I'm a nut!!!
