When you rush you overlook most good things.

This is very true SimonaRich. I could really use this time to "smell the roses" as I always feel like I need to be going at a frantic pace.

Is there a way you can continue your momentum with a laptop from your remote location?
|
I could indeed Angela Leeds. I mean, most of my job searching has been online to this point anyway, and they do have internet access so its no big deal. And trying to socialize with new people in a new area would probably add much more value to my social skills than just seeing my same old friends more.

A few hours every day, late solo nights being passionately, creatively charged instead of TV...could be a cool thing...

You make it sound so good! How can I not go!

I think it would be the best time. Let the market improve and take a U turn.

Yeah ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, how can I not take it in this current market! All my recent job searching has been pretty futile.
I find this whole situation very "Law of attraction"-ish as recently I have been fantasizing/dreaming/planning of traveling around doing short term jobs all over the world. Things like teaching english in Japan, Working on Ski Fields, Camp counselors USA, being a remote Doc hut warden in New Zealand. Then suddenly & out of the blue this opportunity comes up
So I'm definitely going to take the gig! I'm really going to use the time to reflect on beliefs and attitudes, work on projects that need to get out of my head, and build a solid base for the improvements and lifestyle tweaks I am wanting to make.
Thanks again for your help! If all goes to plan I'll be leaving next Wednesday Maybe I should keep a thread on the forum about the experience?
