It might sound a bit silly, but saying "Goodbye" is a clear way to end the conversation. If you offer excuses or reasons, they can come back with counter-arguments, but a goodbye is a goodbye!
"prison...pens...please buy"
"No thank you."
"but...reasons why..."
"No thank you, goodbye."
