My husband and I went for a long walk today with our dogs and our 6 month old son. We walked to a local park where we put him into a swing for the first time, went down the slide with him and also let him stick his feet into the sand! We captured pictures of all of this and then headed home. At one point during the walk I realized that the camera was not in the case so I put it in and think that I placed the camera back in the cup holder of our stroller. We got home, dropped off the dogs and went in our car to a nearby Dairy Queen for ice cream. After this we came back home, I fed the baby and we had dinner. After dinner we were giving our son his solid food for the evening and decided to take a picture of his crazy hair. We went to get the camera and could not find it anywhere! We searched in the car, the garage, the stroller and even retraced our steps to the park.

I am devastated right now because we have so many important pictures on it. Even if I could just reclaim the memory card I would be so grateful. The camera itself is a silver Sony Cybershot and there are about 100 pictures of our son Gareth on it. There are pictures of his 6 month birthday, eating solids for the first time, pictures with our dogs and videos of him trying to roll over. I am not sure if any of this will help, but I thought I would include anything I can think of. The camera should be in a black velcro case and the string to the camera hangs out the side. The case is all black with a small yellow (I think) swirl logo.

It took us over three years and we had several miscarriages before finally succeeding and the thought of losing any of these precious memories is making me sick to my stomach...any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!

I can also provide the route we took if that would help.

I very much appreciate your help and hope you might see some good news for us!
hmm... well if you don't end up finding it, take it as a lesson, a lesson that you don't need those pictures, you have your child. Take it any way you want, but do yourself a favor and try not to beat yourself up (or your kid when he learns how to talk )
