It may not be Steve's fault.. but rather a bug in Facebook itself..

I've had this happen to me where a friend would no longer be a 'friend' on FB.. and neither one of us had initiated such a request to 'un-friend'...

I've seen this happen for others as well, and your case is no different. I don't know why it happens.. but it's been happening recently to many people...

You can try writing a complaint to FB to see what's up..

Just send another friend request to Steve if you want to buddy up again... though hurry before he reaches the 5K mark..
