John, I have similar feelings about this as you..however, I am trying to tell myself the brain is MUCH MUCH more powerful than we can even conceive, so I while i would't just sit around waiting to manifest, I would keep this in mind - I am not talking about water molecule experiments or any of that sort of thing ( I am inclined to believe its not true) - but the brain can figure out unbelievably complex things beyond our imagination - that can lead to "unexpected" encounters, and its a shame that the field esp is rife with frauds and charlotons if we can send radio waves through the world, I don't see why we couldn't send though 'waves' ...and yes i feel a little silly typing that
