Nope, didn't see the dvd story

OK...

Sync #1: The town of El Paso came up in conversation, and he pointed out that it was the second time he'd heard that mentioned while at the shop. Of note to me was the fact that he made a point of how strange that seemed to him

Sync #2: It became clear, for various reasons, that he'd experienced some brain trauma in the past, which had (among other things) made him so sensitive to sound that he could identify the distance and direction of the source with amazing accuracy. This was eerie, because just a day or two before, I'd read about how brain trauma can sometimes bring out amazing abilities...
