Unlike most of the previous posters, I would advise you to renounce any kind of sophistication. Admit your mistakes, express your feelings and expectations in a candid way, and try to compromise (provided you believe that it's worth it). Don't drop things too easily, but also make sure that you are not losing your time: I know this is a very hard balance to find, but you need to find it.
And always remember: in a relationship, things always deteriorate when one starts pointing at responsibilities. In a couple, nobody's right and nobody's wrong; a couple is made of two people who try to get along with each other, and this shall remain your primary concern ...
