The more you focus on your past, the more you will let it come out and ruin your life. Look only at positive aspects of your reality and soon you will be able to manifest only positive things.
However if you feel really depressed it might not be possible to straight away feel good. Then you should seek a feeling that feels better than complete disempowerment you are feeling.
Such feeling can be anger, neutrality, hope, faith and more and more positive feelings. When you consciously reach out for such feelings, you will deliberately change your reality to a more positive one.
