Anything that could help the reader move beyond the prevailing us-versus-them mentality would be very valuable. Fighting Supreme Evil, for example, is entertaining and has a great message. I'm sure you could replicate that combination in a novel, if you were so inclined.  |
Yes, fiction, Erin!! It's so much easier to swallow ... and infinitely more fun to write, IMHO.
That's why I wrote Schizandra and the Gates of Mu. It's like a buffet of all these concepts, but the reader can pick and choose what s/he feels hungry for b/c the characters do the talking. There's no "one" answer. I loved your short stories.
