Akashic_Librarian, I must say that you and I seem to be cut from a similar cloth, as I too am very much about changing the world, peace and human rights. I think the only difference is that I have no desire to "rule" anyone personally.
None the less I love the intensity and the fire you have. it's that kind of fire that CAN change the world (for the good or the bad depending on the person).
I can understand why you'd be upset by people calling you crazy. I once said that if I was making a $10,000 a day I'd end up giving a large percentage to charity because what do I need all that money for (not a knock against anyone who has that kind of money at all, just an example). The response I received though from some people, was that I was crazy. Sometimes I guess its hard to for certain people to understand what its like to care about other people and the world as a whole more than personal gain.
At the same time I also agree with a lot of the previous replies. Keep the fire alive though, so that we can have peace and can fight the greed, the corruption, the violence, the egotism, etc in the world.
