This blog very well could have been the highlight of my week. I swear, no blog has made me think this damn much since... well... maybe Steve's blog! lol. I mean, talk about getting past the bullshit we feed ourselves. One of the things that always pisses me off about myself are these metaphorical blinders I always put on. Do you catch my meaning? It's like, I'm consciously blocking all that side stuff that goes on in favor of focusing on what's directly in front of me. Which makes me unable/unwilling to really view a problem in its entirety, and also makes it difficult for me to have a strong stance on something and debate it (because I refuse to admit that all the stuff blocked out by the blinders is there).
It kind of goes along with the orthorexia nervosa post in Health & Fitness. And with just about anything having to do with religion. (Sorry; recovering faithaholic speaking.) People will feed themselves so much BS that they completely lose track of what's really at hand.
So anyway, thanks for the share. I feel brutally pushed a few levels up the consciousness scale after reading that!
