Steve-
I was just wondering if you've ever considered selling an article to a
magazine...?
I had this thought the other day, as I was reading some girly magazine... (I think it was either
Self or
Elle). I was flipping through the pages, and I was thinking, "
How great would it be if there was a Steve Pavlina article right here? It would make this entire magazine worth buying."
...Because I love reading your articles, but I don't usually have my laptop with me throughout the day, and I rarely have time to sift through the archives when I get home at night. (Books are good, too-- but sometimes magazines are fun to read, because there's such a random assortment of stuff in there. And when you find a really good article in the midst of a bunch of fluff, you feel like you hit the jackpot.

It's like, out of nowhere, you stumbled upon something that's actually
helpful. And it catches you off-guard.

)
Your articles could apply to
so many different magazines, too. They could fall into so many different categories...
health, fitness, psychology, finances, relationships, spirituality, etc. They could fit into anything from
Natural Health to mens' magazines. And you would be reaching an audience that you don't normally reach. Because almost every person out there is interested in improving his or her life in
some way-- but a lot of those people don't actively research "personal development" online. Every magazine has a few articles that could technically be considered "self-help," even if they're just categorized under the Psychology section.
Sooo... I don't know. I just think that it would be amazing if one of your incredibly well-written articles was featured in some magazine that you could pick up in the grocery store and read while you're in the waiting room at the dentist's office.
I have a feeling that you might say that you're not interested... but I just wanted to throw out the idea in case it's something that you haven't thought of.
