LoA Doesn't Mean to Avoid Life
Sorry, I am a little late in responding. Even though, you have already made your choice, I wanted to point out a few things.
1) LoA means that were are attracting everything in our lives. Thus, when people who upset us present themselves in our lives, we attracted them and we need to decide what to do with them
a) Dismiss them from our lives
b) Accept them they way they are
c) Accept them and see it is our reaction to them that is driving our emotions
2) You pointed out that an old boss came back into your life and you said no to the opportunity to work with him/her again because how how you felt (self-esteem suffered and zapped your energy) - I do not know if I am off base here in saying this, yet any time I read self-esteem suffered, I have a need to point out the first word in self-esteem because it isn't them, it is us who does it to ourselves. I had a client say that anytime his wife started nagging him, his self-esteem went downhill. I pointed out that it really wasn't self-esteem if it went away so quickly but an illusionary house of cards that made him think it was self-esteem. Self-esteem has nothing to do with what others do or say to us. Their words only affect us if we believe in what they said was true at some level. So if we really had self-esteem (which I am still working on) no matter what someone says or does, it is not affected.
So should you take the job or not. I do not know. However, it would have been interesting to see if you did not feel hostility (for the past 18 months waiting) whether you would have felt differently or not. Maybe the universe wanted you to wait to get ready because as you said, it could have lead to bigger & better paying jobs. Or, if you feel your energy is going in a new direction (e.g., your website) then stick with that and your old bosses are just a distraction.
Good luck
