"The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit" - Nelson Henderson

The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation

My purpose involves permaculture and planting a lot of fruit trees. I have a current business idea of doing a landscaping business focused on agriculture instead of ornamental design. Basically creating harmony between nature and humanity. I want to go through and take every 1/4 acre lawn in suburbia and turn it into a selfsustaining human supporting ecosystem

I love your website Andrew...The persimmon pie looks incredible. Instead of blueberries or blackberries I'd try adding fresh figs. Have you had fresh figs? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

What I think is very important for raw-food is to provide recipes that are all fruit. Creative ideas like persimmon pie make 80-10-10 look much more appealing. Everything I look for with some variety, some extra texture, is nuts/flax etc. Combining fruit in a creative way is a great idea. Also.. I really like your post about properly ripening plantains. I had eaten mine when they were at the normal Banana ripe level (yellow with some brown) and it was solid starch :/

Have you actually tried the miracle fruit? I was considering using it as a brilliant maneuver for converting people to the raw-food diet more easily. You could use it prior to eating a salad or greens to make them more palatable.

I'm on day 31 of being mostly raw. I've been fluctuating a lot between high fruit and high fat, I'm fairly certain high fruit is the better option but with apples and oranges I have a lot of trouble getting enough calories and a sense of a lack of variety. I'm going to try bananas as a base and then adding sweet fruits and making a delicious pie
