The way that I see it, is that consciousness isn't restricted just to your one-body perspective... It's the job of the ego to stay put while consciousness wanders around experiencing everything. Since the ego is what holds on to the memories, keeping them seperate from other people's, the indentity that you see as 'you' is not the origin of the bad intentions.
However, when you are being conscious, your responsibility increases... You have the opportunity to change some of the intentions during that time, so let's start cleaning up the mess.
