Action Outline uses a custom text area control. They may have developed it themselves or licensed from a third party, but ultimately it has nothing to do with MS Word or any other word processor. Seems that it was never meant to be used as a full blown word processor (possibly for performance reasons), which is why it doesn't act like one. But I agree that it would be nice if it did..
