  • Buying and wearing more fashionable clothes that flatter whatever physique you have, including lots of exercise clothes
  • Working out in the most visible areas of the gym rather than hiding in a corner
  • Going out socially more often
  • Joining fitness-related clubs such as a running group or an outdoor adventure club
  • Engaging in more physical activities (hiking, martial arts, dancing, skiing, surfing, golf, and of course sex)
  • Dropping/reducing sedentary forms of entertainment and making physicality a bigger part of your life
  • Feeling grateful for your body, noticing how good it feels to be fit and healthy, smiling when you get out of the shower and see yourself in the mirror
  • Setting goals to apply, improve, and enjoy your fitness (marathon, triathlon, body sculpting/building, black belt)
  • Spending time with fit and healthy friends, especially those who work in the field (personal trainers, massage therapists, athletes)
  • Populating your bookshelf with health and fitness books, and read them regularly
  • Bookmark health/fitness websites
  • Subscribe to the RSS feeds of health/fitness blogs
  • Devote a part of your home exclusively to exercise, and populate it with whatever exercise equipment you have or are willing to buy (yoga mat, free weights, treadmill, exercise bike, home gym, etc)
  • Replace your stiff family photos with active photos of you and others engaged in something physical (running, throwing a frisbee, walking the dog, jumping into the pool)
Spend an afternoon with the most health-oriented person you know, and you'll pick up tons of ideas, especially if you visit their home.
