Everything that I've learned about Kundalini tells me that if you are doing simple meditation (focusing on the breath or the "gap," stilling the babble of the ego, etc.), the Kundalini energy may slowly "awaken" and unfold in a person as the person is able to handle it. It's a very natural process (like growing hair) that need not be disruptive in any way.
However, I have heard my share of "scary" stories of people trying to awaken their Kundalini energy without guidance, on their own or before they are ready for it and I have chosen not to follow that path for myself, for what that's worth. |
Yes, I have not asked for that awakening either, but I feel it's awakening in me. And it was happening slowly, but when I started to discover my guides, it started to awaken much quicker than I am prepared. So I stopped meditating and I will see what happens.
But the thing is, I love meditating. So I just meditate with my eyes opened. Still works. Yesterday before sleep I did not get any pressure in my head or anything like that, so I guess stopping this for a bit will put that Kundalini to sleep
