Try it for one minute first to get the feel of it. Then gradually add another minute every day.
First day 1min
Second day 2 min
Third day 3 min
Steps, just sit down, and listen to your breathing. Consciously feel your chest or stomach move.
Deepen your breathing, in out slowly for one minute. It'll test your patience, and force you to make an effort on that one subject. *breathing.
Sooner or later this will become automatic, when you feel your full of thought, or in a situation where you need to be calm, this'll calm you down automatically.
