Fasting??
I am a new member to this forum as of today. Thanks for having me.
I have researched quite a bit on fasting and have a few questions. If by fasting, your body is forced to turn to itself to get the nutrients it needs, will your body do the same if you still eat but eat extremely light?
I am involved in sports and other physical activities and just can't do a complete water fast at this time. I am ok with eating as little as 1000 calories a day but is this healthy to do for a certain period of time? I certainly don't want to do something that will be detrimental to my health and deprive my body of nutreints it needs.
It makes sense to me that by not eating all the vitamins and nutrients my body requires that it would still turn to the dead cells and tissue and stored fat, but what if the body only knows to do this during a total fast. Thanks for your help.
