Hi, nice to hear I'm not alone with these things
I'm also at the univeresity, and although I may have a little better circumstances, --> I'm taking computer programming and advanced mathematics which I enjoy genereally, but I've found that a lot of them just doesn't interest me and if I really wanna learn something, I'm way better and quicker learning it on my own from books or from the internet. That's why I also decided to finish my studies as soon as possible. Fortunately, I live with my parents(that's not the fortunate part
), so I don't have to pay for anything yet(that is!), and since I'm here for free at the university for at least another whole semester, I can do whatever I want.
The problem is that if I finish my studies, my parents will send me to work, and I don't blame them for that, but that would be a huge waste of my time. So currently I'm trying to do just OK in school while building my "business" on the side.
I've already started some projects I really enjoy and would like to do for a living, but I'm not sure how long will they took to generate some real profit.
I'm really not sure if what I'm doing is right, maybe I should finish my studies right now as you want, but I'm afraid that would lead to even more problems and distractions (especially from my family) than school does now.
It's really hard to decide, and as I said I'm still not sure if my decision is good, but maybe you should consider doing your own business besides school, because giving away value and making money from it requires some a lot of skill (in anything
), so if you're not really talented in anything yet, maybe you should play it safe cause you can't tell if you will develop your skill to the optimal level in a year or two, or just 2 weeks.
But anyway, it's a really good thing you realized that you need a change, that's something a lot of people try to ignore, well, almost everyone I know
, so I'm glad there are people who feel the same and we can share our opinions (that's why the long post sorry for that...)
