I feel that other employees should be more polite and give more praise instead of criticism. I have always tried to be courteous and nice to people, but I think other people with different values don't see this as endearing, especially the less refined. I don't expect others to change, just treat me with the courtesy that is every civilized human being's right.
I think multi-culturalism and the merging of classes has brought with it some problems. People are forced to interact with others who hold completely different values, which have been skewed by our confusing pop-culture. Managers are all about performance nowadays, employees are seen as an expense, not an asset (in retail anyway).
I am too sensitive really, I shouldn't dwell on these things as much. I can only control my own conduct, other people don't have to fit in with my values.
