Are you seriously saying that people can't become conscious? Isn't that the entire focus of these forums?
An aside: On the "behavior changes shouldn't come from carrot and stick" thing, I doubt a single banning is sufficient to condition someone. What it
is though, is a wakeup call. A shock. That's often the sort of thing that encourages people to reassess their lives and become more conscious. (Kind of a moot point if you have an alternate route back in, but I wanted to point out the flaw in the original logic there).
