I've heard some very good things about SolarVPS, though I have not used them myself. Their VPS prices range from $45-$80. You can get a cheaper VPS, but you might find that many providers tend to oversell.
We used to have a VPS with LiquidWeb but cancelled the account almost immediately because it was very slow (took 45-60 seconds for a site to load).
