Hi JMononoetoe, Deep Trance Identification is just one of the names for this concept, depending on which method is used and the author of it.
I've known about it for a long time and have always been interested in it, but have not tried it yet, so I cannot say for myself that it absolutely works-though it is interesting.
It basically involves identifying a skill you would like to have that another person possesses or if they lived in the past, possessed. Then under a deep trance like state, you identify with the person and gain that person's abilities, behaviors, strengths, skills.
What makes D.T.I interesting is the slight paranormal claims behind it. Even if the person lived centuries ago, that person's abilities can be accessed.

| Dr. Vladimir Raikov, a Russian researcher, who hypnotised art students to believe that they were Great Masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael or Rembrandt. The results were astonishing in that the students started to create very credible art work during the course -- even if they had never painted so much as a smiley face. He was able to replicate these results in other fields such as healing, where students were given the name and personalities of great healers. |
There are other versions of the same method:

".................Especially memorable was the experience of a participant whom I shall call "Mary." Like all of us, she had agreed to embark upon some new learning experience just prior to the workshop. She chose the violin. Mary had her first lesson just one week before our experiment. Until that time, she had never touched a violin in her life.
The week following our workshop, Mary had her second lesson. She worked as a secretary in a Washington office and had only a moderate amount of time to practice.
Nevertheless, after Mary had played a few minutes, her astonished instructor announced that he was going to reenroll her in his advanced class! At our second experimental workshop, just a few weeks later, Mary gave a fine concert with her violin.
Mary owed her precocious ability to the "Raikov Effect." |
The method mention above is one version D.T.I and in this case, Mary who never touched a violin before then, was giving a solo concert after just a few lessons.

| Using deep hypnosis, Soviet psychiatrist Dr. Vladimir Raikov made people think that they had become some great genius in history. When he "reincarnated" someone as Rembrandt, the person could draw with great facility. Later, the subject remembered nothing. Many would scoff in disbelief when shown artwork they had done under hypnosis.
|
The person who was made to think he was Rembrandt, had no previous artistic skill whatsoever. His artwork was so impressive that he was later hired as a professional artist.
With the D.T.I version, it is based on the theory that living things leave information inside an energy field, which can be accessed through the proper deep relaxation and visualization method.
The different names and versions for it are "artificial reincarnation", which is based on the work of Dr. Vladimir Raikov, and this is what D.T.I loosely based on, - "Borrowed Genius", which is Wen Winger's version, and of course, Deep Trance Identification, which is by Lee Pulos.

Hey night diamond. I'll see what I can come up with. I'll post it up here when I'm done. In the meantime, I did this one:
Music For Meditation Mp3 : Raymond L. Burton - The Happy Soul
Make sure you use headphones... if you experience anything, let me know. I just make the music, it will cause a response in the person thats looking for it. |
Thanks Raymond, I went to the site and took a listen- I liked the sounds of the monks chanting, had a nice unexpected lingering effect even though you mentioned there would be monks chanting. It hard to forget the sounds of those monks chanting.

The "pulsing lights" have also caused GRAND MAL-seizures in some people; why would you advertise that??
And you don't need no "alpha, or theta" state, neither - that's NLP-trance work.
Just have someone guide... you, in learning self-hypnosis: works for near everything |
Hi sk8joyful, thanks for the reply - on the pulsing lights, YES, you are right, it is advisable to be careful with these (and avoid using them) if you have any history with seizures or anything similar.Flashing lights have been known to cause them, I'll put any advisory or warnings next time if the device or program or whatever has any risk to it, thanks for the info, sk8joyful.
For me, I like using Alpha or Theta states when I either experiment with something or explore other-than-ordinary states. The sounds or programs that help you do this can drive your mind into that state much faster and deeper than usual.
I don't just listen to the sounds, but use them as tools- to explore deeper states , practice methods, and other things like visualization, which can include self hypnosis....
Actually I generaly believe the best results with these types of things can come in the awake conscious state, with focus, persistence, and intensity...
For example just saying to myself repeatedly "This is a dream" (with intensity) during the day, I caused myself to have a lucid dream a few days later, in which I recognized I was dreaming because- I suddenly said to myself, 'this is a dream!"
I'm just not into "shoulds", or "this is the right way"... I like to experiment. Actually, when it comes to subjects like this, I think a good way to approach this is to consider there may be more than just any one way to do something, like taking the elevator, taking the escalator, or taking the stairs, or just driving up another level...
Take care....
