Hi, there L -- I found some very interesting resources at
Paul McKenna Home Page, and you might want to peek at "NLP for Dummies." It's a fun introduction and has lots of little exercises you can do to give yourself a sense of what's possible.
You might want to book a session with an NLP practitioner and get coached yourself.
