This is my first post about something specific. And on the surface this may not seem like a big deal at all, but maybe that's the way this works: easy, efficient.

In my room I have a book case, but it's a long horizontal one. It holds my tv and some books, but they are hard to get to since they are so close to the floor, and I've got stuff stacked on the floor, doesn't look so great. I'm tired of looking at it. So I'm thinking, I HAVE to get a vertical bookcase that will hold my tv and where I can just consolidate all my stuff. Don't want to spend much.

I tell my Dad about this. We figure the easiest way is to go the Goodwill, pay some dude to deliver a pre-built bookshelf. Not really looking forward to that, but whatever. So I go out for awhile and come back, and my Dad is looking at the bookcase in the living room, which is basically exactly what I need. And he tells me he wants to get a widescreen plasma tv, but of course the bookcase in the living room isn't made for something like that. But the horizontal table I have in my room, is perfect for that.

So we're going to switch tomorrow. From the moment I decided I wanted a bookcase for my room, to when I got it, was like an hour.

On the surface this seems so obvious, and it's not a huge deal, and maybe it's not I-M, but it feels like it. Not only do I get what I want, but my Dad gets what he wants too. It's weird.
