I just saw The Visitor this weekend (I got tons of recommendations to see it, since I'm a drummer!), and I thought it was gorgeous and sad and amazing and uplifting.

Breaking the Waves? That one got me, completely unexpected. I've only seen it the once, when it came out (12 years ago!) and it has stayed with me since. I've actually rented it a couple times, but couldn't bring myself to watch it, it's so... heartbreakingly beautiful. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed when I saw it. (And fell totally in love with Emily Watson, of course)
